I’ve played slide for 20+ years, this is a good video but don’t be discouraged if it’s very hard to begin with. It’s like learning a different instrument to a large degree. Most people struggle with: - Muting and playing with fingers. You just need to work on it. Also helps your normal guitar playing. - The idea that you need to be firm with the right hand and soft with the fretting hand while sliding. It’s supposed to feel weird like that. :) - Intonation is key. Train your ears by checking your accuracy on a tuner, eg slide up 2-5 frets, hum out the note at the same time and check the tuner. You may find you’re consistently sharp or flat and the frets were hiding that from you! Your normal playing and bends specifically also benefit greatly from this training. Good luck!
The under the slide technique was invented (I believe) by Sonny Landreth. If you haven’t checked out his music you’re missing out :) I recommend starting with the song “Native Stepson”
Bingo and spot on. Guillaume's No 5 example was a pretty good example. Check out Next of Kindred Spirit and Uberesso from the Crossroads Blues Festival
That’s a 7.25” radius guitar 😅 why not use a guitar with a radius that you suggest? I could see the benefit of having more radius, that is playing open strings at the same time.
Hello Guillaume. Nice video. When did you sart playing slide seriously and how long should it take to get to the 5th level of mastery (if I work consistently) ?

This Guillaume guy is good
He definitely should get his own educational series...
Oh wait.
Visually, this guitar isn‘t the most ‚slidy‘ guitar, but acoustically: hell yeah, nice tone

Also a curved slide helps with a lower radius. For example the Eric Sardinas Preachin Pipe
Slide on big G 🤘🏽

will I need to rose action on my guitar to perform better for slide playing?
Bien joué et ça speak bien english 👍
Cool. no problems, everything is a non-issue - that must be why everyone can play slide, right? 🤓
